That special pre order deal ended July 11th I believe (in the U.S.) and now the price has gone back up.

I'm running build 7264 x64, but I will be wiping it in October as my lovely package from Comet will arrive at a cost of only 89.98 for 2 Home Premium Editions! I was one of the lucky ones and ordered these on the first day of Microsoft's offer. I'm certainly not going to bother checking out any more builds now, don't see any point. It's been fun though!
Now looking forward to the future testing of Windows 8.

There's supposed to be a $150 3-pack Home Premium upgrade (mentioned in the EULA, and some online retailers accidentally leaked the price), so that'll come out to $50 each--same as the pre-order's $50 for a HP upgrade. If you missed the pre-order special, then you can wait for this "family pack", assuming you have at least 3 systems.

You can (legally) rearm the trial period 3 times, giving you 120 days to activate. Windows 7 should be on shelves by then.

The grace period is supposed to be used by people who already have a license and need the time to subscribe to an Internet connection or handle other logistics. Using Windows 7 RTM without a key, even during the grace period is technically illegal (though, admittedly, nobody is going to go after you for that). Also, many people seem to misunderstand the rearm and misstate that it's "legal". No, it's not. The rearm is intended for OEMs to reset to a clean slate for the purpose of preinstalls and imaging. Use by the end user is not "legal" in the technical sense (this is on top of the "illegal" use of the grace period).

It's true that MSFT probably doesn't care and they certainly are not going to go after people for this, but that doesn't make it legal. Call it "something you can almost certainly get away with" if you want, but don't call it "legal".

Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 on to Build 7601?
Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 to Build 7601? An Icon Pack was saying install on to 7600 only and after I checked my regedit, I learned that I have 7601 (Probably SP1, I don't know). Would I have any problems if I install the icon pack? Thanks.
