    Lots of problems

Two nights ago I had realized that I lost all sound and noises that Win7 usually makes. This didn't bother me too much, as I thought I could fix it by adjusting the mixer levels. I was completely wrong, I started to get worried and google'd answers. One of the responses was to hit the "Windows Update" button. everytime I hit this button I get "page failed to load" so no matter what I do I cannot update windows. I also cannot visit and page that has flash embedded. shockwave flash corrupt or something. please help me.

    Begin by trying System Restore.
    System Restore

If that does not resolve these issues...
SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

If you continue to have problems, the next thing I would recommend is scanning for malware.

What exactly happens when you try System Restore and sfc /scannow?

the thing is, it won't restore. it comes up with errors and says something like it can't "remember" back then. and the latest one is yesterday, and I've been having this problem for 3 days so if it would happen to go back to yesterdays settings, I'd be stuck in the same hole.

If you have not already done so, then try this.

SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

Post back with the details of what happens.

Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.log windsir\logs\cbs\cbs.log. For Example
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
    • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
      1. DDS.txt
      2. Attach.txt
    • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please post the following in your next reply:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt
    3. CBS.log

I saved the files but when I go to open them they are no where to be found.
