Welcome to Seven Forums. What is it you are trying to do?
What program is it you tried to run that gave the error?
You can try a System Restore to before the problem started.

Why do you not have a recovery CD? Check to see if you have the option of creating one in your programs menu. If not, call Sony and order a set.

Most mfr's have not supplied OS or driver disks for some time. Makes it interesting.

You can try to do a Repair install
How to create system recovery disk.
