I wasn't using the beta version, I use NOD 32 Security Suite 4. But I had to disable it to get windows to do the definitions update that it kept failing on previously. Even though just before disabling it to do that, I did 77mb of Internet Explorer 11 updates and other Win 7 patches just fine. So why is it blocking just this one update? Is there a chance it's a known bad address and disabling the firewall to update your PC is just letting the problem re-manifest itself after windows patched it?

    PathosBedlam:

It is best if you start a new thread as tacking on to the end on old one that has been Ticked as solved, causes confusion & may be missed by people wishing to help you.

Please follow these Update posting instructions as well in your new thread.

    You're my hero

The guy who said he had to disable Hola is my hero. I couldn't figure out how to disable it, so I just unloaded it. Now I can get updates. I spent hours trying to figure this out!

On a hunch I disabled Hola after Windows Update and IE 11 stopped working and it worked!

I then did a Google search and found this thread and see that I am not the only one that Hola has "infected".

    I am now flushing Hola!

    thanks - Roger
