Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64

Im updating my GF laptop, i got all updates done except for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 every time i try to install it i get this error

Code 80070079 Windows encountered a problem with a unknown error.

Ive tried google and i cant find out whats causing it and ive also tried searching the forums which returned 3 results that didnt help.

System

HP Pavilion dv6
Processor: Inter Core i3 CPU M370 @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
GFX: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

Try installing SP1 in safe mode..

EDIT... are you performing an update, or a clean install of Windows7?

Are you trying to install it through Windows Update?
If so, try installing it (windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe) manually.
Download details: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932)
