You'll recieve that and more if you don't keep up with the critical updates. So if you haven't updated in a while, yeah, you have lots of updates.

BTW the last round of updates had about 19 patches.

I've downloaded 51 updates to date including SP1. Without SP1 it would have been a lot more.

I had 19 updates as well on 6/14/2011 (was about 105-120MB). Also updated Adobe Reader, Flash, Shockwave, etc.

You are welcome mate. If you are/have installed new hardware/software, this could well trigger more updates.

I also installed a ton of updates a few days ago, but be warned: The updates changed some of my power management settings, which I had to change back to what I wanted.

    Anyone else have this problem?

I seem to recall an update a few months ago that did a similar sneaky change back to a default setting that caused W7 to take forever to shut down.

I hadn't noticed any Power Management problems. Can you tell us specifically what PM settings were changed?

    Thanks

I like your rabbit in the hat gizmo. The sound wasn't to good for me.

I tried to use something like that in my outgoing mail sig but can't get
it to work. I use the live mail, old outlook.
