    The OP already has a key, just no install media, I'm not sure he has that option now? It's a good point though. I bought my Windows 7 OEM copy on line but it came with the DVD. I have to admit I'm not up to speed with the Digital River, etc downloads. I was late to the Windows 7 party. :)

    Have a look in your emails from the Retailer, you have a link, but link will time out.
    My Charlotte's has time out.

I've spent around 10 hours trying to fix this problem and still can't seem to resolve it. Little backstory: Its a HP Envy laptop with a 1TB HDD running on windows 8. But the laptop has been having a lot of start-up errors and finally some files corrupted and windows wouldn't function properly....

Hi there i have a Gateway M series laptop and a week or two back i had a complete Hard Drive failure, machine wont even turn on now. But that's not my question ( just a little background) well i am going to be upgrading my hard drive and installing Fresh windows 7. Since i was running Vista 64 bit...
I bought a new laptop but it did not come with a windows 7 disk, but i did find a recovery partition and an Windows 7 activation code under the laptop. Can anyone tell me how to reinstall windows 7?
