    Windows 7 Activation Code Blocked

Hi everyone, I have an activation problem. (Windows 7 Ultimate)

I just reinstalled my windows, and when I was going to activate it, it cant be activated, due windows blocked it. (Reinstalled this for 4 times, on the same hardware *notebook, in a year)

I have no idea why windows blocked it, even thought I know that reinstalling windows on the same hardware, the code wont be blocked.

If you ask , is my windows i purchased is genuine? Yes it is genuine.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure. Yes, after reinstalling the windows (the 4th times in this year), Windows blokced the activation code. So I can't active the windows right now. (in trial condition)

Try this method, which is legal and above board:

Click the Start button and in the Search box type in: slui.exe 4

Press Enter and choose your country from the list then follow the instructions for telephone activation at no charge.

After you've got this thing sorted out, fine tune your system then create an image using macrium or acronis or other imaging software, then everytime you feel the urge to reinstall, just restore the image instead of reinstalling. That'll save you from having to activate and reinstall apps and drivers everytime.

How did you acquire your Windows disc? From what you say it may have been on a Technet subscription if Microsoft are saying it's blocked due to the end of your subscription.

    Hi there

    This sounds all mightily suspicious.

    1) Software from Technet is ONLY blocked for misuse -- software acquired during subscription doesn't expire if you no longer renew.

    2) Most products can be re--activated up to 10 Times ON DIFFERENT MACHINES -- should be no problem re-activating on the SAME machine.

    3) if you get really stuck go to the CHANGE PRODUCT KEY and enter the key you obtained from technet -- if that doesn't work get a new key and enter that key in the product code.

Even with the change from 10 to 5 keys that's still 50 activations allowed on MULTIPLE machines. If you've exceeded that limit -- 'nuf said.

    Cheers
