| | Issues with: Office File Validation Tool (windows update) We've experienced several office 2k3 - 2k10 issues after installing the Office file validation tool through Windows Update. We've removed it from whitelist for the time being. Strongly suggest removing it from domain environments until it's tested. File services suffered on server 2k8 R2: Excel 2k3 - 2010 Word 2k3 - 2010 Majority of users were reporting temporary application hangs while this tool validates the file. Complex Excel files took up to 45 seconds to load. |
