Windows Updates cause certain programs to not work...

I work at a small bank and help manage our domain. In the past when we push out Microsoft Updates we frequently get problems with the software we use. An update breaks the sotware and then we have to find which Microsoft Update caused the error and remove the update. We have decided to try WSUS (Windows Server Update Services). The problem with this is knowing what updates to push out and what updates to not. This brings me to my questions. Is there any type of online resource or software that monitors what updates are affecting software. Or a blog or feed that updates problems people are having with software due to Microsoft Updates.

By the way, we have a few different operating systems in our domain. XP, Win 7, and Virtual Machines running 7.

Thanks in advance
