Taking a shot in the dark here, but did you try looking under the battery (removing the battery)? I've seen a few brands use this tactic to protect the sticker.
Speaking about tactics, I recently purchased a HP dmz1 and couldnt find the sticker anywhere, called the seller and threatened him with dire consequences. Finally, opened up the back panel of the machine (it has a phone-like snapon) and lo and behold, there was the sticker! Not very smart of HP, I would say, that back panel's not very sturdy and a lot of people would have trouble figuring out how to take it off.

it might help u guys to know that the comp was also reformatted.
Dude, to reformat you need a licensed win7 copy. What key did you input when the machine was formatted?
what actually happened is that i sent my comp to the very same seller to reformat it.yes, before that, my copy was original. maybe he's done something.i'm nagging him, but tell me, is there any way to buy the key ONLY, without buying another win7 OS?or is there any way to retrieve the key?
