Where did you buy your Windows DVD?

If you bought it from Microsoft contact them and they will help you.

If you got it from a non-legitimate source then we can't help as forum rules preclude us from discussing that scenario.

What does amaze me is that it's always the product key that's gone missing, never the Windows DVD.

Then contact IT admin at your school. If they can't help you'll need to buy another product key.

    To clarify.
When i was in school i took a class, a+ computer repair. We got windows 7 CD keys, i used mine and had it installed. Today i re-installed my win7 but forgot to write it down and the school dosent have the keys anymore (they wipe it for summer). The key IS legit.

As you are using School software have a word with the School IT Administrator.

Already shot him a email. Agien no way to recover it from windows.old? A yes/no answer would be sufficient.

And its not school software, it was given to me by the school.
