Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Reinstallation

Hello all.

Frustrated user here. I recently took the plunge and made the switch to a 64 bit system, upgrading processor, RAM, and OS in the process. I installed and activated my Windows 7 OS yesterday, which is an OEM product.

I can't seem to get the system to run stable with the 16gb of RAM that I have, and I've pinned it down to the Motherboard. So I am planning on purchasing a new Mobo, and reinstalling Windows again. Will I be able to use the same serial # when reinstalling since it's already been activated?

Is it possible to install a new Motherboard without reinstalling Windows? Thanks for any and all help.

Your OEM product will stay with the old MOBO.
