    Windows Update Reinstalling KB971092

    Hello, first post here.

I am running Windows 7 RC1 64-Bit. Windows update is continually presenting the KB971092 update: Security update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1. When I tell it to install, it reports that it is successful, but then presents itself again in Windows Update for installation. I DO indeed have Visual Studio 2008 SP1 installed on this system. Thanks in advance for the help!

Go to update screen, look for updates, and select to hide this update in the future.

    greetz

PS. after a few weeks unhide it and see if it installs correctly.
Happens more often with KB updates

Thanks! I am downloading the stand alone installer to see if I can get some resolution on this today. I've seen this before with Vista. This is the first time its happened to me with Windows 7. Any scientific explanation as to why this happens?
