Windows Update and W7 7100 stops responding

Hi guys and girls

I have used my Windows 7 Beta since May, build 7100 (x64). Its fresh install and my computer is cutting edge flagship what you can buy. Windows has worked perfectly since May, but I used last windows update, shut down the comp, went to meet my parents, came back, started computer and nothing works. I can login, but cant start even a task manager. I booted it to safe mode and I ran Spybot + Regcleaner, its clean. Question whats wrong?!

I am one of these guys who doesn't use system restore, because I know what I am doing (I'm IT pro). But this is weird, because can't even run the simplest program on normal mode.

I only downloaded 3 critical updates, I don't remember well the descriptions, but they for vulnerability fixes.

Are you sure you didn't install something else, maybe a torrent, like say Restorator?

Normally I keep my computer running days even weeks, but I haven't installed any new software since last working restart, only some updates, but can't remember what.

Can you open an elevated command prompt and run sfc /scannow?

Its wonderful that even I have disabled System Restore, it still creates them if windows update is used. I restored system 3 days back to remove the latest critical update. Problem didn't solved... I can't open any applications thou, not even command prompt. Taskbar still responses and I can press Start button and see the menu, but what ever I click, it won't open anything

EDIT: ADDED info: I have uptime gadget and I noticed that everytime I boot it stops 1min 59sec... before that I was able to open command prompt, but it didn't start the scan. So I'm guessing I have virus lurking deeper in my computer... Now I just need to find it and destroy it.

Thank you Mr Grim about your posts. But I found the problem. It wasn't a virus. The latest Comodo Internet Security antivirus database was faulty and it should been fixed by Comodo Dev crew... I uninstalled CIS and computer works fine.. Reinstalling new CIS should work fine.... well lets see...
