    Who received an windows removal tool update from september?


    Already had one on September 14 , and today the 28 received the same update because windows update is show me.

    If you mean the update KB890830, you will find all "software removal tool" updates all have the same number.

    The tool removes specific threats. It's not uncommon to have more than one release in a month. Here's the list for this year, so far.

    I got the same thing. MS sometimes will release removal tool more than once to combat specific threats

I'm trying to understand this November 2017 Malicious Software Removal Tool Update. It was in Important Updates but the Install Box was not Checked. It seems from THIS link that it's only function is to Run the Malicious Software Removal Tool, OR, is it also the Definition Update? And, do I need...
I noticed with this months updates (4) marked important, that this one "Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - November 2017 (KB890830)" was not checked like other three. I don't recall this in past, which makes me think it should be optional though it's in important category. Wondering...
just downloaded this, about 8megs. Now do i just leave it? do i not need to open anything to run it and does it run in the background all the time or only once? cheers.
Hello All, I have noticed that when the Windows update is done, it downloads the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. However I can't find it. Can someone tell me where it is. Thanks RalphG.:)
