There will most definitely be an SP2 in the future, it's just a matter of when. My guess is it won't come till close to or after Windows 8 releases next year.

That's an interesting one, but it almost certainly has nothing to do with SP1...

That is a realtek issue and has nothing to do with Microsoft. Service Packs do not address 3rd party drivers. Just a large amount of hot fixes and some core os changes.

I have uninstalled SP1 as my system was blue screening multiple times everyday. Since it's been removed, my system really flies like it did when first built. SP1 definitely causes erractic behavior in Windows 7 64bit. I only install what I think I really need to have now. Later.

I surly don't understand how removing SP-1 makes your computer fly unless SP-1 didn't install properly. I recommend installing SP-1 for all the security updates it has.

Windows 7 first Service Pack
When do you think the first service pack will become available for Windows 7? I mean finalized, offered by MS, not a beta. I say sometime early 2nd quarter 2010.

Is windows 7 a service pack?
I'm not sure if this has been posted or not, but I felt like bringing it up. It seems to me Windows 7 could be a service pack. I have tried the vista sp2 beta and it is nothing like windows 7 7000. One thing that makes me think it might be a service pack is the mojave experiment. I think MS is...
