Can't activate my geniune windows 7 ultimate retail version

I have bought an Windows7 Ultimate on ebay and I can't get it activated. I tried the automatic service with the telephone, but I keep getting a notification that my windows can't be activated in my region.

If I try to get help from microsoft I have to pay 70€ to get support ...

I can post pictures with proof it's the real deal.

    Anyone that can help me?

Welcome Sv3nne to the windows 7 forums.

Many have bought microsoft windows from EBay and then found out that the key was invalid.
But it could be something else like, what country are you from?

That can make a difference as Microsoft has different versions for some countries that have an agreement not to include certain parts of their software, Internet Explorer for one could be restricted in your country.

It's a common scam on e-Bay and Amazon where MSDN product keys that are about to expire are fobbed off to unsuspecting buyers.

You can raise the issue with e-Bay to try and get your money back and if you report the seller to Microsoft they may be able to help.

I'm from Belgium, it's not just a key I bought. It was a boxed version of Windows Ultimate with all security holograms on the 2 discs. Is there any way I can get it activated legally?

I bought it about 2 years ago so I think a refund from ebay will be difficult. The first year and a half I did not experience any problems.

There's nothing illegal with the software, it's the product key that's the problem.

If you installed SP1 recently, that most likely triggered the activation query.

If you can't get a refund from e-Bay and Microsoft can't help it looks like you'll have to buy another product key.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

That is untrue that you have to pay Microsoft for activation support. Go to the link below and follow the steps. I have Academic Windows 7 Keys (30 activations per key) x 8 keys and I have a issue afte exactly 30 days after install. I fill this out and it gets fixed within 2 weeks. I know 2 weeks is a long time to wait but you have 30 day to activate so you should be fine before 30 day.

As susoected, the Key is from a subscriber-only MSDN account....
Your Windows Key is from a not-for-resale MSDN account. You need to claim an immediate refund from the vendor - do NOT accept the offer of a new key.(all they are trying to do is to get past the 45-day claims window. or avoid you sending the evidence of their crimes to the authorities)

Please read the following stickies.... .......................

The pirates have got VERY good at this over the past few years, as the price of equipment for manufacturing the packages drops, and as factories open in less well-policed countries.
