If you ONLY get a black screen, and nothing else, then it's not a WGA problem alone - with a simple non-genuine problem hte background goes balck, you get a notification, etc, but you still have full access to your desktop.
You need to repost this question in a more appropriate section (or perhaps one of the moderators would be kind enough to move it?) | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus K52F OS Win 7 x64 Home Premium (and x86 VirtualBox VM) CPU i3 370M Motherboard Asus Memory 8GB - finally :) Graphics Card it's an i3, dude! Ah - that's different, then!
What happens if you answer No? (this should allow the desktop to come up - although it may take a little longer than usual) | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus K52F OS Win 7 x64 Home Premium (and x86 VirtualBox VM) CPU i3 370M Motherboard Asus Memory 8GB - finally :) Graphics Card it's an i3, dude! The black background is normal for a non-genuine installation, but if you're still inside the 30-day window you shouldn't be getting that yet.
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

Boot to normal mode and refuse the request to enter a new Key.
That should get you into the normal desktop, if what you said earlier is corerct. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus K52F OS Win 7 x64 Home Premium (and x86 VirtualBox VM) CPU i3 370M Motherboard Asus Memory 8GB - finally :) Graphics Card it's an i3, dude!
