    windows not genuine black screen

Hi, i have this random shitty tablet that did not come with a windows 7 key, the hard drive failed, i replaced it and i was running a trial version of windows for a month untill i could afford the key, anyway now every time i start up i just get a black screen. i can access safe mode and i found a few tutorials to fix it on this site but none of them are working for me. so can anyone help me?

If you ONLY get a black screen, and nothing else, then it's not a WGA problem alone - with a simple non-genuine problem hte background goes balck, you get a notification, etc, but you still have full access to your desktop.

You need to repost this question in a more appropriate section (or perhaps one of the moderators would be kind enough to move it?)

sorry, posted it here because a similar post from google was in this section,

well normally it comes up with a box to ask if i would like to input a windows key, but nothing comes up, it just stays black, as i said safe mode works fine, i may try install vista on it but it does not have a disk drive so im making a bootable usb.

    Ah - that's different, then!
What happens if you answer No? (this should allow the desktop to come up - although it may take a little longer than usual)

The black background is normal for a non-genuine installation, but if you're still inside the 30-day window you shouldn't be getting that yet.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
    - **in your own thread**, please

You need to have the usb in before you boot into safemode.

Boot to normal mode and refuse the request to enter a new Key.
That should get you into the normal desktop, if what you said earlier is corerct.
