But it's funny you know, everytime something gets fixed on this machine, a new problem comes up. First were the faulty ram, then was the faulty hard drive, then again another faulty ram, then came the drivers, then came a faulty windows installation and now comes high ºC CPU....

Try using IE9 to do the same things then watch for spikes.

Simultaneously watch the temps at these exact times so you know if heat and your old CPU paste is the first suspect to be tackled.

Turn off all Startup items except AV (which is what?) in msconfig, then on it's Services tab select Hide all MS Services and uncheck all but AV, reboot, check back several times for intruders. You now have a clean boot.

Ok, when I first started after CLEAN ALL and reformat, I told the ATI OVERDRIVE to lower the frequencies of the GPU and manually set the GPU fan to 30%....there were no changes this morning (7:39 AM)....now I come, 5:28 pm, and I see (look image).

THIS OBVIOUSLY HAS TO DO WITH ATI DRIVERS, NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT, IT MAKES SENSE:

-WHEN I USED TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS FROM THE CD; THERE WERE NO BSODS, ONLY FREEZES
-NOW THAT I DOWNLOAD THE DRIVERS FROM THE NET, THERE ARE BSODS, AND NO FREEZES!

Ok, this is also weird, Windows is starting to "Undo" things I've done. For example, before first BSOD, the Google Chrome icon was attached to the task bar, now, after second BSOD, it's gone.

Look, Windows Security Essentials updates "have gone" and its disabled.

I cant add Minidumps to ZIP or RAR, even changing owner and "total control". I cant ***** understand, it says "You dont have administrator privileges" WTF? IM AN ADMINISTRATOR ! Managed to get past it by copying both files, and pasting the copied files into the zip

Sorry If Im being rude, but after spending 1400 dollars (and counting) on the PC and then seeing it break down its something which you cant easily handle...specially if you take into account, that I've never managed to run this machine for one month without problems.

Since everything is apparently going wrong and the exorcism is looking like an option - can you get your hands on another PSU and just swap it over for a while? Fluctuating voltages could cause your observed problems.
....maybe you've tried this and I missed it.

Geez, I dont have any other PSU available. I live 30km away from my Hard provider and right now its closed.

Im thinking the guys over at the tech provider just turned on the computer and ran some casual tests, nothing serious, maybe that's the reason behind them saying 4 times the same "No, we didnt stumble across anything, its 100% fine".

Well, they also mentioned something about voltage here in my area. San Miguel, Buenos Aires is known to have spikes (lights sometimes go a little bit dim and then return to normal).

You have tested the RAM for 5-6 passes and run maker's HD diagnostics extended CD scan, correct?

Sorry, but I thought that in the United States and Europe they had hardware providers everywhere, wish the same happened here

Is there any chance they could stress test the system for you? see what they come across and think? Just by looking at all those issues, Personally I would just go with a new build or test each individual part. :P

I've been thinking the same. You'll see, everytime we decided to take the PC to the hard provider (technician) my father took it, so I dont know how he explained the problems to them. Guess One of these days I'll have to join him and tell everything to the technicians. But for sure they wont be happy....it would be the 5th I take the machine to them....

Yes, Diagnostics, Memtest, OCCT, Prime95, all passed without erros.Right now, I dont think about making any stress test, I dont want to fry my CPU. Idle stands at 50 and peaks to 70' when browsing, I dont wanna know what happens under full stress. I'll make the test as soon as I get the thermal compound (tomorrow or Wednesday)

Guys, you'll wanna take a look at this...remember those random CHKDSK's at start? Well, I found how to disable them here in W7 forums...the first step told me to run the command CHKNTFS *Hard Drive*.....and....well....surprise!

Really, this is an insult, why earlier CHDKSK tests showed no errors or problems and now they come up with errors?
