Cannot Update on Windows Update

Hi!

As you can see in this picture, i can't successfully install certain KB security updates. I downloaded the "Hotfix for Windows" as you can see, it only helped with some.
I looked around the forums but no one seems to have the same problem...

Thanks for you time!

Try installing the KB2556532 update offline by downloading it from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...ng=en&id=27033

What error message do you get by double-clicking on the failed updates?

The error messages are suggestive of system or registry corruption.
Let's start with the easier stuff (hopefully someone more expert than I can deal with the actual Updates problem along the way <g>)
It looks like you've been having problems with Updates for while - that one is from August, so System Restore is probably not a good idea.
I would suggest running CHKDSK and SFC

type in the Search box
CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
Select Run as Administrator
- the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
At the Command prompt, type
CHKDSK C: /R
and hit the Enter key
You will be told that the drive is locked, and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot. The chkdsk will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!

After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) - then run the SFC

SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on the Start button
type in the Search box
CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
Select Run as Administrator
- the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
At the Command prompt, type

SFC /SCANNOW

and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.

I think fffffffe is another of those catch-all error messages that means pretty much whatever you want it to

I tried this and then attempted to install the updates. I still cannot install them.

Thanks for your help though!

I asked you to try installing the update from the standalone installer, also - it appears from your earlier post that you again attempted to install it from Windows Updates.
Please download the file from here - Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2556532)
once downloaded, double-click or Run the file.
What EXACTLY happens, and what error message is produced?
