Error 0x8004fe22: "Copy of Windows not genuine" - even though it is.

I get the error message "Copy of Windows not genuine" after I recovered my windows installation.
I have a perfectly legit copy and it has been activated (and worked fine) before on the same pc.

I ran chkdsk and it seemed to be fine.
I also ran sfc/scannow. - It said it found corrupted files. However, I don't know what to do with that info. See the attached log file with the results.

I know I can do a Repair Install, but I thought there may be a way of fixing it before I go that route.

    Details about the computer:
    Acer Aspire AS1830T-3730 laptop
    Core i3 - 1.2GHz
    4GB DDR3 SD RAM
    WD Caviar Black 750GB
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - (retail re-installed)

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
    - **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine, but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

The file mismatch is your problem...
    File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\sppcomapi.dll.mui[Hr = 0x800b0100]
    running CHKDSK and SFC....

    type in the Search box
    CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
    Select Run as Administrator
    - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
    At the Command prompt, type
    CHKDSK C: /R
    and hit the Enter key
You will be told that the drive is locked, and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot. The chkdsk will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!

After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) - then run the SFC

SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
    Click on the Start button
    type in the Search box
    CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
    Select Run as Administrator
    - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
    At the Command prompt, type

    SFC /SCANNOW

    and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.

run another MGADiag report, and post the results.

    I attached the log file.

There seem to be a fair number of corrupt files in the report.
It may be worth running the CheckSUR tool to see if it can help.
Try running the CheckSUR Tool - see if it turns anything up

    post the report afterwards.

I attached the CheckSUR log and the CheckSUR.persit.log

    - Note that I basically just installed the Windows 7 Hotfix (KB947821)

That seems to have fixed at least some of the problems - since the fixed problems were manifest files, it may be worth running another SFC to see if that's able to fix more problems this time.

Do that, then run another MGADiag report, and attach both reports to your reponse
