    My friend can't install sp1


    Hi! I just want to help my friend. He can't install sp1. He is using windows 7 ultimate x64. He download update(with windows update). When download finishes installation starts normaly. And at the end of installation update crashes. And error is reported. It happens every time!!!

    Try it by using the exe file available here:

    You need the next to last file in the list, 903.2 MB

    windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe

    If your friend is willing to, the best bet is to get the updated media with SP1 integrated and reinstall windows 7.

i know vista uses longhorn is it the same in 7? anyway he cant get the boot loader to install. hes installing on a seperate partition (other partition has XP), and if im correct he can boot into XP but not 7, any idea?
