how long does SP1 take to install

How long does SP1 take to configure? My PC is stuck at 81 percent and hasbeen this way for hours?

Not that long

Did you run the update readiness tool to see if there was something missing?

Please run the update readiness tool and then update to SP-1


Ensure you install the correct 64 or 32 bit option for your system)
Download the System Update Readiness Tool (64bit)
Download the System Update Readiness Tool (32bit)

Service Packs can take quite some time.
Hours on one stage may be abnormal though.
Be patient at this stage.
