Windows 7 service pack 1 update problem Hi guys I have a problem for a while now i cant install sp1 update for windows 7, I have windows 7 64x Ultimate. I tried running System Update Readiness tool and SFC scan but nothing seems to work. I would re-install the windows but my DvD rom doesn't work... I even tried making an Image of windows 7 with service pack 1 on my laptop to try and update my pc via that image file but it wont upgrade... I really dont know what to do, any way i can fix this or is there some other way i can install my windows without using a dvd rom. Here is the log from System Update Readiness Tool.

How much space do you have left on your hard disk?
SP1 is quite greedy and requires at least 5G of free space before it even entertains the idea of installing it.

Try to install it directly, bypassing Windows update.
Download the package you need from here. Sometimes that works when Windows Update fails. ok provided that your 41.8GB of free space is on the C drive then the only other thing i can think of is its an isue with the language packs.
Go to Start, Control Panel, Region and Language > Keyboards and Languages > Install/Uninstall Languages > Uninstall display languages. Then click EVERY language there, except English. Then uninstall. This process will take about 1 hour, maybe longer.
Reboot after this and go back to your Windows update and try again.
If it installs successfully you can then return to control panel and re-add all the languages if you wish. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Prodessional 32 bit |

I know nothing about the WUSA error. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;
