Auto update restart on its own.

    Hello,
It's been a while since I posted anything as I have just now taken care of a pirated W 7 problem. I have resolved and am legit now, but if I ever find the guy who, well never mind. Here is my issue. I now have W 7 Home premium. I have windows update set to auto update. As I was checking email and just cruizin the net etc. My pc just shut down and restarted. I discovered that it was the auto update. I want to continue to use auto update, but I don't want my pc to shut down and restart even though it warns me. Can anyone tell me how to change this?
    Thanks, John

    jsmoline,

    Read through our Tutorial.

Refer to the section "Choose how Windows can install updates."
It might suit you to to use an alternate method listed there.
