Windows 7 - Hidden Win Updates are restoring on their own

Twice now I have had all the updates that I have hidden become unhidden and indicate by bubble message that "updates are ready to be downloaded and installed."

Since these are mostly language packs they are NOT required for my system. Any idea why this has happened?

This last time this happened I had rebooted after a iTunes update and the bubble message popped up. Not sure what the circumstances were the first time.

Does it to me too. I have mine set to 'let me choose'. When they show up I hide them.......again. Must be Bill trying to take over the world.

After the original offer of Language Packs that I refused & hid, I too was offered them later - but once more only.

I also have IE9 Update hid and a Cannon Printer update that I installed already but kept showing up on the Update list also hid.

All of them have reappeared on the new updates list more than once. Does MS acknowledge this problem anywhere?

It IS recommended you update to IE9.

Being re-offered updates a few time isn't a monumental problem.
Happens to most of us at some time.
