WinUpdate made Admin act as no admin privileges available?

Dusty is on the way helping you. Just in case, you still curious about what is happening, you may try this another method I did in the past. It worked for me.

1. Right click on [Computer] -> [Manage] get to Computer Management Screen
2. Expand [local users and group] -> go to Users. You will see Administrator (built in account with down ward arrow on its icon)
3. Right click on [Administrator] -> click on [Properties] -> Uncheck [Account is disabled] then [OK] -> you will see the arrow on the icon is gone. It means your built in administrator account is now enabled
4. Right click on [Administrator] -> click [Set password] -> On warning, choose proceed (I assume you have never put any password into it) -> create password -> Then [OK]
5. Restart your PC -> Log on with the built in Administrator (allow it take some time to finish logging on)

See if you can work from there.. :)

I have no idea the cause of the problem. To go that deep would require someone who knows more than I do.

Don't take ownership, all of that is correct. You are not the "owner" for security reasons. However, you should have full permissions of that drive. If not, perhaps a reinstall is the only thing you can do. You may wait for more suggestions, but likely they won't be any different. However, before you do a complete reinstall, you may wish to try your luck enabling the built in admin account (if you can) and see what you can do with that. Failing that, uninstall near everything, and see if you can get more wiggle room (*EDIT from what you said it seems like this may not be an option). sfc scan did naught? If I had to guess, I would think the problem lies with a security program, but I have no way of knowing. I too enjoy using malwarebytes, and if it (fully updated) found nothing, then likely it isn't a virus.

I will say to be careful when using Ccleaner, as it can delete some registry item you might not want it to delete. Just a precaution.

Despite your success with Avast, it has been reported to me numerous times of its flaws. However, you may stick with it if you like. I am only offering my knowledge based on experience.

I know next to nothing about that firewall, and I would only ever use windows firewall anyway. Your call there.

Any number of updates could have effected this, including your AV, windows updates interfering with something else, or another random program. There are too many things that could have caused this problem to count.

Did you say you were unable to view the permissions on the C: drive? *Edit - you posted first. So you now have full permissions but the problem remains?

As I stated, perhaps a clean install is the only way to go: Clean Install Windows 7 (by Brink)

Hopefully some of my advice for the future will prevent such a thing from happening again. You may also consider backing up your computer just in case such a thing does happen. Hope this doesn't set you back too far

Well if it stuck, then Dusty is right, there might be something is preventing you from getting into it.
Creating a new user even you named it as Administrator still won't grant you total acces as the built in Administrator that is disabled by default.

I did it to two of my PC when the update nagging for admin's right.

You have more hope than some, but perhaps not enough. I am not sure why you are able to move files but lack permission. And I know it likely won't solve anything, but the SFC scan was through the system recovery options menu command prompt. You might have even tried system restore from the system recovery options menu: System Recovery Options (by Brink)
