The fact is updates are there for stability, fixes. Graphics Card, Chipset, Network drivers
are intentionally included in Windows Update for an essential reason. So that answers your naive question. Again, why would you want to obliterate it?
Usually, updating your drivers will avoid BSODs as obsolete drivers are frequent causes of BSODs/System Crashes. Updating your driver
will do you good. As for now, you feel no need to install it.
As I've said, the tutorial will show you how hide it. Right Click on the Update and Click Hide Update
