Windows 7: Can't install updates using windows update or standalone update

I haven't been able to install any updates since jan 11 of this year. I have been on the road for a few weeks and I tried to figure out the problem once I got back.

When a update is being installed it will stall we will say at 95%. I have looked in the log files and this is what I find.
From the Application Log;

When I try to run sfc /now or verify only I get this error;

I am stumped so any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Try running the System Updates Readiness Tool.

Ran the tool and said it was complete I rebooted the computer and tried one update and I got the same fault about trusted installer, I also forgot to post these other two info logs.

> Delete Temp Files from App Data via...
Start > Run > % temp% > Ok > Organize > Select all > Organize > Delete.
Note some files may NOT be able to be deleted but will ask you to SKIP them.
QED.

Update it immediately.
Do a full system scan

Deleted the files in step 1
Ran Malwarebyte ( I own the full version) No malicious activity detected
Reset the Windows update components
Ran SFC with the same error as above
Ran the SURT (results successful)
Ran my update (same results as before, Trusted Installer crash)

Time for the "real experts" Microsoft to be called in...
Have used them myself.
Found them to be polite & efficient.
Problem was solved too.

Thinking ahead...

Have you a Back Up prior to your current problem that you could use?

Just in case you need to do a Clean Install refer the link below...

@JMH,
No backup. I know I am pretty much SOL now. I made the jump to Windows 7 right after xmas. then my RAM started dying in January which is when this problem started I think. Was just hoping that there would be a quick fix out there that would work.

Unfortunately it doesn't appear so.
Sometimes it's quicker {& better} to save time /avoid frustration & start afresh.
