    tried nearly everything that was suggested in thread up to my post yesterday, including the 10, now 12, suggestions for fixing WU. None of them worked.

    updates failing to install


    I was having the same problem - so I installed manually 2 at a time. Worked for me 30 minutes ago. Good luck!

    Seems like Windows Updates have been really borked this month, including mine. I also went the individual install route after an update reset, sfc scan, and a System Restore.
    No one has come forward with an explanation yet though.

    Hi Dom,
    Sorry it took this long to reply, I was on vacation. I see you have discovered the manual updates solution but thought I would still reply. I never did find a solution. Pretty much gave up as I was not prepared to do a clean install. I am doing the updates manually and it has been working fine that way.

Hi, My computer continually freezes when trying to install update or other software. I have run AVG Anti Virus and Malawarebytes Anti-Malware. These have all come up clear. I ran SURI as per the post instructions and it have not finished after 12 hours.
I just did a fresh install on a new SSD for my laptop. I am getting above error. I reinstalled again and got the same. I ran check disk already. And I started SURT 7 hours ago but it is stuck on Initializing installatipn... help...please...let me know if you need anymore info? Diagnostic...
