window updating problem When I turn ed on My Computer After beening off For A Week, It Started The Auto Windows Updates,The Problem Is It Still Saying Its Updating 1 Of 8 Updates An Its Been All Day (8) hrs So Far An it Hasn't Finished One Update I Tryed The safe Mode F8 But That Won't Work ,So I Can,t Get Into The Fix it Problems  Its A windows 7, Dell 2305 | My System Specs |

Turn off Automatic Updates (Control Panel, Windows Update, Change Settings. In the drop down under Important Updates, select Never check for updates.
Go back to Windows updates and click on Check for Updates. See if that works. Some updates take awhile, can you post a shot of the available updates. Change the settings of your updates to: check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them. Check for updates again.
You could also try turning off the windows update service in start>allprograms>administrative tools>services then turn it back on.
