Update KB2468871 breaks stuff

My IT department pushed KB2468871 (among others) to me and it stopped my Windriver Tornado compiler / linker from working. It seemed to mess up the parameter passing so that when the linker (ld) ran there were no input files. Anybody else seen this?

Robert

That's an update .net Framework v4.0.

Maybe the Kb article can give you some clue.

Check whenever your system have well install the client profile of this version and if the extension of this version are there or installed for your production environment.

Update for the .NET Framework 4

PS: You could uninstall the .net Framework v.4.0 from program and features, and see if it is still the same.

My immediate thought is that the IT department didn't do due diligence on the update - you should contact them in the first instance, as it will probably be affecting others as well, who may not notice as quickly.
