I was just mashing my keyboard in frustration and randomly pressed ctrl alt delete and then escape and I realised that I could see the screen but it's just incredibly dark and difficult to see. Soooo I restarted in safe mode with networking and tried to do what yowanvista said but nvidia says the installation cannot continue as 'this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware'. -_-

It may well not be able to run the detection in Safe Mode.
While in Safe Mode, make sure that all nVidia software relating to the drivers is uninstalled from the Program&Features listing, then reboot to Normal Mode. Also, when uninstalling the drivers (from Device Manager) take the option to delete them if offered.

No matter what I did NVIDIA wouldn't let me download a new driver! Thank you for all the help everyone but I'm just going to do a system restore to before I installed Windows 7 and try and reinstall. Thanks again, I'm so grateful you took the time to help me :)
