    Windows setup stuck on activation.

So I have a laptop that used to have home premium but that corrupted, so I borrowed my friends ultimate install disk. Then went through the steps and used the activation key on the bottom of my laptop. But it sticks for hours. Does this mean I have to go buy a home premium disk?

You can't activate an Ultimate installation with a Home Premium key.

Download a Home Premium ISO and burn it to a DVD, as we talked about yesterday.

You can try your DVD/RW, it may work, if not you can still use it. You need to buy a small stack of DVD+R or DVD-R, you should have a copy of your OS on hand anyway.
