Windows 7: Unable to install SP1, error 800F0818

They were there and I had to replace them, which I did.

It says: Unavailable repair files:
servicing\packages\Package_for_KB2633879_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.1.0.mum
servicing\packages\Package_for_KB2633879_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.1.0.cat

So I assume theses files are NOT there(?)

They are really there. I updated the file again, here it is.

By trying to install the last update I get the following error: Security Update for Windows (KB2633879).

EventViewer says: Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800f0818: Security Update for Windows (KB2633879).

Are you able to install any windows update?
  • view your windows update history and write down the name of latest update
  • view your windows installed updates and uninstall that one.
  • check for updates and install that one again (not SP1)
Works?

I am able to install new updates (except SP1):
KB947821 successfull installed on 20-04-2012

Do you want me to uninstall that update?

And then install that one again?
