when you say double addresses ,do you mean duplicate contact entries?
if so have a look at post 2 here

Yes but not all of them........one address was labeled "preferred email" and one not....the preferred was not attached to a large group I have!! I got it cleaned up manually in THREE DAYS.....GRRRRR!!!

Now, why wouldn't it work after updating and what does the update offer?? My current version is 2011 with suffix of ".0513"

    Thanks!!

Thanks for the reply Hanna 1 but that is what I did and it did not work!!

My question is why didn't it work and why did it virtually double up my contact list???

I have Windows Live Mail and it functions PERFECTLY but the update is available and I AM AFRAID TO INSTALL IT AGAIN since it screwed everything up before!!

If I UNINSTALL IT will I lose all my email addresses (465) and my group addresses (268)?? If so I have ZERO interest in playing with it anymore!!!

I do appreciate your replies though!!

Don't be afreid cause all of your addresses are still in your @ hotmail and when you uninstall live it's a program but the data will be intact.
    Good day

You may be best to reinstall - these are the instructions I was give by MS....

I would suggest that you uninstall and reinstall Windows Live Mail.

But before you do it, it would be best to back up your files. You may refer to this link for the instructions on how to do it.

Now, uninstall Windows Live Mail. Please refer to this link for the steps.

Lastly, download and install the latest version of Windows Live Mail. You can download it on this link.

Note that if you subscribe to newsgroups you will have to re-download all posts, as they do not form part of the exported messages
