Windows live update

Windows live mail is telling me thereis a new up date. If I do download and execute it comes back with message of registry error and how to fix. In my registry the location does not exists . I have reverted to previous version . Question is in order to use the update and that phantom error should uninstall my version ?
Now I am guite happy with this version , how do I stop the nag about update ? Michael

Welcome
Set your windows update to notify and not install. When you get the update, right click and then hide. You will not see it again.

Windows live essential

Thanks for your response but we are not on the same tract because I see Iwas not terribly clear in my description. . The update nag appears in my Live mail and there is no hiding from that . That applies in Windows update . Many thanks Michael
