    Updates won't install

I'm trying to install those updates that were available this week, but won't complete the installation. I tried restarting, but it didn't help. Check screen captures for reference.

    Hello LM2008,

    * Google is your friend.
Have you done a search for the KB Error number that applies to your problem{s}?

    * Have you a System Restore point created PRIOR to these problems that you can roll back to?

    * Start > Control Panel > Search box > type Troubleshooter > click Troubleshooting > System and Security> Fix problems with Windows Update.

    * Try to install them again.
Always install one at a time.
Reboot on completion of each one.

    LM2008,
Give us an update when you have a chance. I'd throw out a couple of ideas, but only if the previous excellent recommendations are not fruitful.

    LM
I have revisited your first post and then I realised that your WU have only six failed updates for .net
I opened my WU from control panel then programs & features and from the left panel I have access
to Installed updates and when scrolling down I see that I have twelve updates successfully updated on 11/04/2012.
Please try to see how many updates you have, and if the faulty updates are listed also.
    See my updates:

1.Are you in the habit of running "Registry cleaners?"
(e.g., Registry Mechanic; System Mechanic; RegCure; RegClean Pro; Advanced SystemCare; AVG PC TuneUp; Norton Registry Cleaner; PCTools Optimiser; SpeedUpMyPC; CCleaner Registry Cleaner)

If you DO use any of the above it would be a good idea to do a SFC Option 2.
This MAY need to be run up to 3 times.
Note carefully the result at the end.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    2. Might be a good idea to clear out your temporary downloads file and internet cache to remove any corruption from there.

    To delete temporary update files

Open Computer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Computer.

Double-click the local hard disk where Windows is installed, typically drive C.

Double-click the Windows folder, and then double-click the SoftwareDistribution folder.

Double-click the DataStore folder to open it, and then delete all files and folders in the folder. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Click the Back button.
In the SoftwareDistribution folder, double-click the Download folder to open it, and then delete all files in the folder. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. Then try 1.Netframework update.
    Reboot at the end.

    merrmo,

Please start your own thread wherein you state your problem so that we can direct our efforts to solving your problem.

Hijacking or tagging along on someone's thread produces confusion and ill-feelings.

Your cooperation and understanding is appreciated.
