.net update problems

Hi there,

When using a program on my PC, I get a .net framework error and the program does not shut down correctly. I'm wondering if this is linked to my .net update problems.

For a good while now, windows update has failed to install 2 security updates for .net framework (KB2604121 and KB2656405) as well as one update for .net framework (KB2600217). Each time I receive a error code 643 from windows update.

I have also tried to manually repair my .net framework by going to .NET Downloads, Developer Resources & Case Studies | Microsoft .NET Framework and downloading then installing. Each time, halfway through the installation, my PC will shut off immediately and restart without warning.

I figure the .net framework error I get from the program I use is linked to this update problem.

Any help appreciated.

thanks for the reply.

I couldn't see the updates I'm talking about listed at the bottom of that article, so I'm not really sure what you are referring to?

I'm obviously missing something, so apologies for that!

thanks
