    Pixelated screen after win update

I have an Inspiron 5010 and after a Windows 7 update the screen, after the Windows 7 splash screen becomes pixelated and then reboots. I have tried to go into safe mode but it blue screens every time and quickly reboots. I have tried everything to my knowledge, I have even taken it to a computer tech who can not fix it. Anybody got any ideas?

Does the system boot OK to teh Repair Environment?
If so, then it's probably a filesystem failure - run CHKDSK and SFC in offline mode from the RE, and see if that helps.
Otherwise, you could be looking at malware, or driver failure - or a hardware problem

It does boot to the repair environment but nothing here fixes the problem. I have run diagnostics but no errors have been reported

Those are next to useless - please run the CHKDSK and SFC as requested.......

Your best option in that case is to run the CHKDSK and SFC in offline mode from a Recovery Environment boot.
Reboot the computer, and tap the F8 key until you get the advanced boot menu up - one option should be 'Repair your computer'. Pick that one.
    Log into your normal account.
You'll get a set of options - pick the Command Prompt one.
At the command prompt, type DIR D:\
    - if we're lucky this will bring up a listing of your normal C: drive contents, including the Program Files folder(s) and the Windows folder.
If not, try E:\ (etc. until you get the right letter)
    then type the following command
    CHKDSK <drive>: /R
and wait for it to complete - it could take a few hours, depending on the size of the drive.
    Once complete, type
    sfc /scannow /OFFBOOTDIR=<drive>:\ /OFFWINDIR=<drive>:\Windows
where <drive> is the letter you found above.
Wait for the command to complete. (make a note of the response!).
Once it has, type EXIT and the pick the option to reboot.
    Post another MGADiag report

    Durbidge,

How are you trying to enter safe mode?

    Please use this procedure.

    While in Safe Mode:
WIN | type CMD | ENTER
    type following command:
    CHKDSK %systemdrive% /R
that runs checkdisk over your system drive

Now let's run the System File checker
    If you do not see:
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    Then:
    Ø Type EXIT to return
    Ø RESTART your computer
    Ø Run sfc /scannow again

    If you do not see:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    Then:
    Ø Type EXIT to return
    Ø RESTART your computer
    Ø Run sfc /scannow again

    If you do not see:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    Then:
    Ø Type EXIT to return
    Ø RESTART your computer
    Ø Run sfc /scannow again
Notice that you have run sfc and restarted your computer up to three times.

    BOOT TO SAFE MODE
    Ø Power down your computer.
    Ø Power up your computer.
    Ø IMMEDIATELY—Start tapping the SPACEBAR
Ø When the Windows Boot Manager screen appears,
    Press the F8 key
Ø The Advanced Boot Options screen will appear.
Ø Using the down arrow key, highlight Safe Mode
    Ø Press the ENTER key.

    In shorthand,
PowerUp | Spacebar until Windows Boot Manager
    | F8 | Safe Mode | ENTER
