windows saying not genuine

    thanks for telling the actual problem. but is there a solution too except re-installing?? coz m really pissed off i contacted dell regarding this and they said they will talk to the dealer. coz we were not provided with any dvd for os, by which we could re-install

    Can you tell me how have you bought the computer ? was the OS came preinstalled, or somebody installed it there after buying ?

    i don't have much idea as my father bought it from a dell dealer. but yes os came pre-installed

    yes it is still in warranty. i bought it around January end. that is y i contacted dell

    Go to the dealer with your father, describe them the issue, and ask for replacement .

    I hope they will do it.

    If they deny, you can contact with your nearest consumer protection cell. They work very prompt nowadays.

    Go to the dealer with your father, describe them the issue, and ask for replacement .

    I hope they will do it.

    If they deny, you can contact with your nearest consumer protection cell. They work very prompt nowadays.

    I hope you have the purchase voucher the sellers have given to you ?
