Disable the warning of the updates of the Windows Live Essentials 2011

    HI

In Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 64 bit, how can I disable the automatic updates of the Windows Live Essentials 2011 suite?

    THANKS

    Hello Balubeto,

While it's strongly recommended to keep this updated for the program to continue to work problem free, you could set your Windows Update settings to Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them to be able to hide the update when you get one for it to not see it anymore.

With this setting, you will have to manually check and install any updates you want afterwards.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    balbuteo,

    Let the updates roll!

I have seen this as a problem on computers that did not have valid versions of Win 7.

I tried to do this but, when, for example, I run Windows Live Movie Maker, the Windows Live Essentials 2011 update icon is still displayed on the systray. Why?

The reason why is that you can update Microsoft software through the program itself, not just Windows Update. Unfortunately, I don't know how to keep it from asking you to update while using a Live Essentials program. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help.

Was there a reason why you didn't want to update the program, or is it just that you wanted to update it yourself later without a reminder notice?
