Windows update fails to install updates (Error 66A, 8007006E)

    Hi.

Th problem is that all windows updates are failed to install (around 27 updates) since the 17/May.
I tried everything from deleting temporary files, doing malware check, hard disk check for errors, still could not solve it.

    Any ideas?

Troubleshoot common installation issues in Windows Update, Microsoft Update, and Windows Server Update Services would seem to apply here.
Run the Fixit, and see if it helps - make a detailed not of any errors produced along the way

OK - on to CheckSUR, then....
Description of the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista, for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7, and for Windows Server 2008 R2

download the appropriate version for your system, and run it.
Once it's complete, locate the CheckSUR.log file, and attach it to your response.

Huh - nothing found. (which is good, but doesn't tell us much)

Error codes "0x8007066A" or "66A" occur when you install the .NET Framework updates may apply - are you getting the 66A errors with the .NET updates and the 0x8007006E error with everything else?

Try just installing non-.NET updates - does that work at all?

Have you tried this link? Error Codes: 64C & 66C (Can't install updates) - Microsoft Answers It is for those specific error codes.

Also, it may not help, but tyy opening an elevated command prompt ( click the start button, in the search box type cmd, in the only entry that appears, right click it and select 'run as administrator') In the command prompt window copy/paste this sfc /scannow it is a system file checker that may detect any corrupted or missing system files and attempt to repair them.
