in the Search box, type AnyTime Upgrade
hit the Enter key
follow the instructions, and enter your Key on request.

'didn't work' is not enough - we need more details, such as the error message it came up with.

Please have a look in the Event Viewer and see if you can find anything there that's relevant

Dude. its the same message as the screenshot i posted before.

"The Upgrade was unsuccessful. Please try the upgrade again."

I'll try again and see what happened. I tried using Microsoft Fix it this time.

OK - that's referring to the Windows Firewall, for some reason - and implies that the service has been disabled.
What Security Software are you using?
What AV's have EVER been installed on this system (including any pre-installed by the manufacturer but never activated)?

Please run the following commands in an Elevated Command Prompt window and copy the results to your reply

NET START MPSSVC
SC QC MPSSVC
NET START BFE
SC QC BFE
