My.comp.wont.upgrade.to.Home.Premium....

Okay..

So today after my friend suggested me upgrading my os to home premium to fix some of the errors , that's what i planned when I came home. So when I'm trying to upgrade for the fourth time now it says that The upgrade was unsuccessful. Now I'm absolutely pissed.. I paid 120 bucks so it would work. Now its not even working and I cant reach the Internet to fix it because my IPv4 Autoconfiguration is invalid...Can someone please help me..

Where did you buy this? You can get the Starter to Home Premium upgrade directly from Microsoft for $79.95.

What errors did you have that you thought would be fixed by upgrading?

Win 7 x64 Home Premium (and x86 VirtualBox VM)
Wales - probably in the pub

This sounds very odd to me - please run an MGADiag report and post the results.
we need to see a full copy of the report
produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point),
and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of
your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Kegobeer I had an Autoconfiguration IPV4 Address issue that my friend suggested upgrading would fix. I also have some performance issues and i cant install IE9.

NoelDP I'm trying your suggestion now.

E: @NoelDP http://i.imgur.com/KhZTK.png that's the diagnostic report. The Version is windows 7 starter.
