    Unable to install KB2695962

    Help.
For over two weeks I have been unable to install KB2695962 (update Rollup for ActiveX killbits for windows 7 for x64-based system)
The error message is 800B0100 ("If you receive Windows Update error 800B0100, it means that a file needed by Windows Update is corrupted or missing. The System Update Readiness Tool can help fix problems that might prevent Windows updates from installing. Windows Update error 800B0100 is one of the problems that the tool can check for and repair. etc..."
Here are some of the efforts and fix attempts that I have tried, without success:
    1. sfc/scannow in the command prompt
    2. MS Fixit
    3. Microsoft System Update Readiness Tool
    4. Resetting the update service manually in command prompt
    5. Malwarebytes scan in normal and safe modes
    6. Anti virus -spyware scan in normal and safe modes (I have Security Essentials)
This morning, I tried the following (after reading about in on another posting):
Start > Run > type in
    %windir%\windowsupdate.log

Here is a posting of the last 60 or so lines of the WindowsUpdate.log

    Any ideas?
I appreciate any and all help here.

Welcome to Seven Forums washdurb6. I'm no help with your logs, but I'll recommend starting with this MS Fixit

How do I reset Windows Update components?

If no help, and if no one else can help fix this issue, then I would attempt a Repair install before going the clean install route.

Thanks. I tried FIX IT again, but it didn't work. I will continue to experiment.
I will try uninstalling Office 2010 and see what happens.
