loaded dual boot with xp and w7. can't get updates for xp

As stated, loaded xp after shrinking the drive and using easybcd. got all going
but can't load updates for xp. I'm downloading sp3 for xp and have shut down AV
and the firewall on the W7 side. get a code which i didn't write down.

Are there issues when doing an upgrade with xp, or does sp 3 need to be installed
first ?

Not quite yet - Pro doesn't go out of support until 2014 :)
