    Unable to update

So every time I try to update my PC, it always fails and says it encounters the error code 800B0100. I tried to do some self snooping/researching and it led me to downloading a System Update Readiness Tool which I installed and it performed an hotfix leading me to believe that my PC should update just fine now.

However, when I try to run a windows update, it fails and gives me the same exact error code. How can I fix this?

    Hello kaor
    Type this in command prompt
    regsvr32 Wintrust.dll /s
Then hit enter and close the command prompt and try again.

I already attempted the resolution that webpage offers but it didn't solve the problem for me.

Try turning your firewall off and doing the update from the update site.

Just tried and it didn't work. I get the same error code after using the system update tool and then trying to update windows.

Hello Kaeor and welcome to the forums

You mentioned that you ran the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT), would you mind posting the contents of the log from this please? It can be found in the following location:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log
